Summary
Starting September 14, 2016, EOB code 2504 'Bill Private Carrier First or Invalid Adjustment Reason Code Billed' will change from using RARC N598 to RARC N36 in 835 Electronic Remittance Advice files. This affects how coordination of benefits messages appear in electronic remittance processing.
Action Required
By September 14, 2016: Billing team must update ERA processing systems and staff training to recognize the new RARC N36 code instead of N598 for EOB code 2504.
