Summary
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is resolving a system issue where outpatient behavioral health claims requiring prior authorization were incorrectly suspending with EOB code 3003. Previously suspended claims from July 1, 2016 forward will be reprocessed and paid in the August 19th cycle if PA is on file.
Action Required
By August 22, 2016: Monitor Remittance Advice dated August 23, 2016 for previously suspended behavioral health outpatient claims that will now process for payment. Review any remaining claims with EOB code 3003 for dates of service in June or spanning June-July, as these may still require manual PA verification. No immediate action required as this is a system correction by the payer.
