Summary
Connecticut Medicaid (CMAP) updated Addendum B to allow certain procedures previously restricted to inpatient settings to be performed and billed in outpatient hospitals. These procedures now have manual pricing designation but will initially deny with EOB 304 until system updates are implemented.
Action Required
Immediately: Outpatient hospital billing teams should review the updated CMAP Addendum B Changes document at www.ctdssmap.com to identify affected procedure codes. Expect initial denials with EOB 304 'APC - Services Considered an Inpatient Procedure' for newly covered outpatient procedures until system update occurs.
