Summary
Connecticut's Department of Social Services is converting to a new eligibility system called ImpaCT starting October 11, 2016. Client ID numbers remain 9 digits but will now begin with either 00 or 10 (new clients get IDs starting with 10).
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must update eligibility verification procedures to recognize client IDs beginning with both 00 and 10. Continue checking eligibility prior to providing services. Train staff on new ID format to avoid confusion during verification process.
