Summary
Connecticut Medicaid (HUSKY Health) will cover Flucelvax flu vaccine (CPT 90674) for ages 4-18 under the Connecticut Vaccine Program starting January 1, 2017. The vaccine itself will deny but administration fees will be reimbursed.
Action Required
By January 1, 2017: Billing team must update system to bill CPT 90674 for Flucelvax vaccine with CPT 90460 for administration to HUSKY Health members ages 4-18. Configure system to expect denial of vaccine code 90674 but payment of administration code 90460. Only bill for Connecticut Vaccine Program eligible patients - code will deny for non-CVP patients.
