Summary
Connecticut providers can now bill CPT code 90674 for Flucelvax administration to HUSKY Health members ages 4-18 under the Connecticut Vaccine Program. The vaccine itself will deny payment, but administration is reimbursed under revenue code 771 with CPT 90460.
Action Required
By January 1, 2017: Connecticut hospital billing teams must update systems to bill Flucelvax (CPT 90674) under revenue codes 25X or 63X for HUSKY Health members ages 4-18. Configure system to expect denial of vaccine code 90674 and reimbursement of administration under revenue code 771 with CPT 90460. Do not bill CPT 90674 for non-CVP eligible patients as it will deny until fee schedules are updated.
