Summary
CMS has reduced the Meaningful Use reporting requirement for EHR Incentive Program participants from a full calendar year to any continuous 90-day period for 2016 and 2017. This change applies to Eligible Professionals and Eligible Hospitals attesting to the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program.
Action Required
For 2016 and 2017: Providers participating in the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program should coordinate with their EHR vendor or IT team to adjust Meaningful Use reporting periods to any continuous 90-day period within the calendar year instead of full year reporting.
