EVV Guidance When Multiple Clients Reside in the Same Household
Connecticut Medicaid (HUSKY Health)·CT·Provider Bulletin

Summary
New Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) guidance requires caregivers serving multiple clients in the same household to check-in/check-out once per visit but enter each client's Santrax ID separately during the call. At check-in, caregivers enter each client ID followed by zero for tasks; at check-out, they enter each client ID followed by the actual task numbers performed.
Action Required
Immediately: Home health agencies must train caregivers on new EVV procedures for multi-client households. Update caregiver training materials to include step-by-step Santrax check-in/check-out procedures using client Santrax IDs (not Medicaid IDs). Ensure caregivers know to press ## for client ID prompt and enter zero (0) for tasks at check-in, actual task numbers at check-out. Failure to follow proper EVV procedures will create exceptions in the Santrax system.
