Summary

Starting January 1, 2017, Hewlett Packard Enterprise will send re-enrollment notification letters to resident providers with residency periods greater than three years, 6 months before their re-enrollment due date. Residents must complete re-enrollment applications through the online Re-enrollment Web Wizard before their due date or face dis-enrollment from the Connecticut Medical Assistance Program (CMAP).

Action Required

Action needed
Medical billing teams should inform resident providers about the re-enrollment process and ensure they complete applications promptly when received. Monitor resident enrollment status to avoid billing disruptions due to dis-enrollment from CMAP. Note that once residents become fully licensed physicians, they must submit new enrollment applications rather than re-enrolling under their resident status.
