Action needed
By January 1, 2017: Billing teams must update systems to replace deleted code 99420 with 96160 (patient screens) or 96161 (caregiver screens) for maternal depression screening. Update mammography billing to use new codes 77065, 77066, 77067 that include CAD services. For gender reassignment surgery, replace codes 55899/58999 with 55970/55980 and use diagnosis F64.0 instead of F64.1. Update prior authorization requests accordingly. Verify updated fee schedules are available after December 23, 2016.
