Summary
Connecticut Medical Assistance Program (CMAP) Addendum B has been updated with procedure code changes effective January 1, 2017. The changes include new procedure codes, rate changes for codes with status indicators G or K, and elimination of the L1 modifier for lab codes. System updates will be implemented March 1, 2017, and affected claims will be automatically reprocessed.
Action Required
By March 1, 2017: Billing team must download the updated CMAP Addendum B PDF and Excel files from www.ctdssmap.com Hospital Modernization page. Stop using L1 modifier on lab procedure codes immediately - submit claims without the modifier. Monitor for automatic claim reprocessing after March 1st.
