Summary
The Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Santrax system is implementing enhancements including multiple address fields for clients, changes to MRN field data handling, addition of two new optional ABI service codes (1560P and 1572P), and a new schedule edit reason code #29 for extended shifts.
Action Required
By April 1, 2017: Billing team should update EVV system procedures to utilize new multiple address fields for clients receiving care at locations other than home to reduce GPA Distance exceptions. Update MRN field handling procedures as the field will now contain only agency-specific data unless left blank. Consider implementing new optional service codes 1560P (Pre-Vocational Service) and 1572P (Supported Employment) for EVV billing. Use new schedule edit reason code #29 for extended caregiver shifts.
