Summary
Connecticut DSS has added four new Personal Care Assistance procedure codes (1022Z, 3022Z, 1023Z, 1225Z) to the ABI Waiver Program and created three new procedure/modifier code lists (33, 34, 35) for both ABI and CHC Waiver Programs. All new codes require Electronic Visit Verification and must be included on client Care Plans.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must update system to include new PCA procedure codes 1022Z, 3022Z, 1023Z, and 1225Z for ABI waiver clients. Add procedure/modifier code lists 33, 34, and 35 to billing system for ABI and CHC waiver programs. Ensure all codes are configured for Electronic Visit Verification requirements. Update Care Plan templates to include list codes instead of individual procedure codes when services are authorized by list.
