Summary
Connecticut home health providers using Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) must now enter Medicare Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN) information into the Santrax system before submitting claims. Claims without proper ABN data will be denied with EOB code 2522.
Action Required
By July 1, 2017: Home health billing teams must update each Medicare client's record in Santrax by adding the Medicare Payer and completing the Pre-Denial (ABN) information before exporting claims. This applies to all PCA, ABI, and CHC waiver clients with Medicare coverage. Contact Sandata Customer Care at 1-855-399-8050 for assistance. Failure to enter ABN data will result in claim denials with EOB code 2522.
