Summary
Connecticut Medicaid has added Revenue Center Code (RCC) 913 for Partial Hospitalization Intensive services at Chronic Disease Hospitals, effective August 1, 2017. Providers must bill HCPCS code H0035 with RCC 913 for reimbursement, and prior authorization is required for all behavioral health outpatient treatment.

Chronic Disease Hospital billing teams must: 1) Update billing systems to include Revenue Center Code 913 for Partial Hospitalization Intensive services, 2) Ensure HCPCS code H0035 is billed in conjunction with RCC 913 for all partial hospitalization services, 3) Obtain prior authorization from Beacon Health Options (1-877-552-8247) before providing any behavioral health outpatient treatment, 4) Download updated Provider Type and Provider Specialty to RCC Crosswalk from www.ctdssmap.com. Claims without proper coding or prior authorization may be denied.
