Summary
DXC Technology corrected a billing system error where inpatient behavioral health claims were incorrectly reimbursed when multiple Prior Authorization units existed. Claims were reprocessed on September 12, 2017 RA with ICN beginning '52', and hospitals can now split room and board charges across multiple PAs to receive full reimbursement.
Action Required
Immediately: For inpatient behavioral health claims with multiple PAs from Beacon Health Options, billing team must split room and board detail lines (RCC 124) to match each PA's approved units and date ranges. Review September 12, 2017 RA for ICNs beginning with '52' to identify affected claims. Resubmit corrected claims with separate room and board lines for each PA to ensure full reimbursement.
