Summary
Connecticut's Autism Waiver Program is being renewed with new authorization requirements for home health services. All services must be included in an approved Care Plan by DSS Autism Waiver Case Manager, and CHN will no longer authorize these services (Beacon Health Options will handle behavioral health cases).
Action Required
By January 1, 2018: Home health providers must verify all Autism Waiver clients have services documented in DSS-approved Care Plans via ctdssmap.com portal. Check 'Prior Authorization Search' to ensure services match care plans before billing. Contact DSS Community Options Unit immediately for any service/care plan discrepancies. Claims for services not on approved care plans will be denied.
