Summary

Connecticut Medicaid is changing its Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) contractor from LogistiCare to Veyo effective January 1, 2018. Ambulance services continue billing through DXC Technology, but livery, taxi, and wheelchair services must now contract directly with Veyo for payment instead of billing through the state system.

Action Required

Action needed
By January 1, 2018: Transportation providers in Connecticut must contact Veyo to establish contracts for livery, taxi, and wheelchair services. Update billing workflows to bill Veyo directly instead of DXC Technology for non-ambulance NEMT services. Ambulance providers continue current billing procedures through DXC Technology. All NEMT requests must go through Veyo for prior authorization - providers cannot request transportation on behalf of clients.
