Summary
Connecticut DSS revised Medicaid reimbursement changes for DME items effective April 1, 2018. Only codes subject to federal limits will be repriced to the lower of 100% Medicare rates or current Medicaid rates (increased from previously proposed 75%). Additional changes planned for July 1, 2018.

By April 1, 2018: Billing team must update Medicaid DME fee schedules in billing system to reflect new rates at lower of 100% Medicare or current Medicaid rates for codes subject to federal limits. Monitor for revised provider bulletin with additional details. Submit voluntary cost information through DSS website to assist with July 1, 2018 changes. Failure to update rates may result in payment discrepancies.
