Summary
Effective March 14, 2026, Anthem's 835 Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) for New York commercial claims will display both the submitted procedure code and the adjudicated (allowable) procedure code on service lines. This change applies only to inclusive (non-separately payable) services and helps billing teams identify which allowable service the bundled line is associated with for improved reconciliation.
Action Required
By March 14, 2026: Billing team must prepare to receive updated 835 ERA reports containing dual procedure codes (Loop 2110, SVC06 for submitted code and Loop 2110, SVC01 for adjudicated code) on inclusive service lines. Review ERA processing workflows and train staff to use both codes for reconciliation of bundled/inclusive procedures. Update any internal claim reconciliation procedures or reports that depend on single procedure code display. If not currently enrolled in ERA through Availity Essentials, enroll at https://Availity.com before the effective date to ensure receipt of updated remittances. No changes to billing submission are required; this is an informational enhancement to ERA output only.
