Summary
Beginning September 24, 2018, all Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) ambulance claims require approved prior authorization or they will be automatically denied. Claims currently in suspension will remain suspended until proper PA is obtained.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must obtain prior authorization for all NEMT ambulance services before submitting claims. Contact Veyo at (858) 225-7337 or documentsCT@veyo.com for PA requests. Update billing workflow to verify PA approval before claim submission. Claims without PA will be denied with EOB codes 3003 or 4801.
