Summary

Immediately: Home health billing teams must stop using modifiers TT (individualized services to multiple patients) and TG (complex/high level care) when billing codes T1001 (start of care/resumption evaluations) and G0162 (60-day recertification reviews). Update billing system rules to prevent these modifier combinations. Review and resubmit previous claims that were paid with TT/TG modifiers - contact Provider Assistance Center at 1-800-842-8440 for claim adjustment assistance.
