Summary
Connecticut Medicaid (CMAP) updated 2020 HCPCS codes and discontinued modifier GD effective January 1, 2020. Claims processed between January 1-28, 2020 with incorrect coding will be automatically adjusted by February 28, 2020. The outpatient flat fee schedule was also updated February 10, 2020.
Action Required
Immediately: Stop using modifier GD on all Connecticut Medicaid claims as it has been discontinued. Update billing system to include new PT codes 97129-97130 and behavioral health codes 90867-90869. Download updated Hospital Outpatient Flat Fee schedule from www.ctdssmap.com. Monitor claims with ICN# 5520040 or 5520039 that may show as 'Adjusted/Voided' or 'Suspended' - these will be automatically corrected by the system.
