Summary

Providers must use procedure code H0031 with specific telemedicine modifiers when billing for these remote assessments.
Action Required
Immediately: ASD providers authorized by Beacon Health Options must update billing procedures to use code H0031 (mental health assessment) with modifier '95' when patient is at home or modifier 'GT' when patient is in healthcare facility for telemedicine behavior assessments. Update billing system to accept these telemedicine modifier combinations. Policy remains effective until COVID-19 public health emergency ends.
