Summary
The Department of Social Services has enhanced SSN editing in the Santrax Agency Management (SAM) system for Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) service providers. When updating employee records, the system will no longer accept 3 consecutive numbers in SSNs and requires entering SSNs in a new format: first 4 digits as '1234' followed by the actual last 5 digits of the staff member's SSN.
Action Required
Immediately: EVV service providers must update their process for entering staff SSNs in the SAM system. Use the new format with '1234' as the first four digits followed by the actual last 5 digits of the SSN (example: for SSN 010-00-9121, enter 123409121). All future employee profile updates in SAM will require this new SSN format.
