Summary
Connecticut HUSKY Health is transitioning from Clear Coverage to a new medical authorization portal effective December 19, 2020. Providers currently using Clear Coverage must switch to the new portal, while phone/fax submission processes remain unchanged. Authorization numbers will change from KC/K1/K4 prefixes to KG prefixes.
Action Required
By December 19, 2020: Providers currently using Clear Coverage portal must register for and transition to the new medical authorization portal. Attend required web-based training sessions covering registration, navigation, eligibility verification, and request submission. Before December 31, 2020: Download and save any needed authorization information from Clear Coverage as access ends at 7:00 PM on that date. Update systems to recognize new KG authorization number format replacing KC, K1, and K4 prefixes.
