Providers must use specific telemedicine modifiers when billing these services.
Action Required
For SBCH providers only: Update billing system to allow telemedicine billing for speech and PT/OT evaluation codes 92521-92523 and 97161-97167. Add modifier GT (facility/office originating site) or 95 (home originating site) to all telemedicine claims. Maintain documentation substantiating services provided. Do not submit claims if telehealth service cannot be completed due to technical difficulties.
