Summary
Connecticut Medicaid Mental Health Waiver providers must now use Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) through the Santrax system for specific mental health services. Claims submitted outside Santrax must match confirmed visits or will be denied with new EOB codes starting July 1, 2021.
Action Required
By July 1, 2021: Mental Health Waiver providers must implement Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) using Santrax system for mandated service codes. Billing team must ensure all claims for these services match confirmed visits in Santrax with same client ID, provider ID, date of service, and service codes. Train staff on new EOB denial codes (3327, 3328, 0047) and resolution procedures. Contact Advanced Behavioral Health for training videos. Claims without confirmed visits will be denied.
