Summary
The Connecticut Department of Social Services has updated the DRG Calculator with new DRG weights, average length of stays, outlier thresholds, and hospital rates effective January 1, 2022. Updated Behavioral Health and Rehab per diem rates are also included for Connecticut Medicaid inpatient billing.

Immediately: Billing team must download the updated DRG Calculator from the Connecticut DSS Hospital Modernization Web Page. Update billing systems with the new DRG weights, ALOS values, outlier thresholds, and hospital rates for all inpatient discharges on or after January 1, 2022. Verify hospital's Adjusted Base Rate, IME Factor, and Cost-to-Charge ratio under the Provider Table CT tab. Update Behavioral Health and Rehab per diem rates for Connecticut Medicaid claims.
