Summary
Community Health Network of Connecticut (CHNCT) is launching a new Medical Authorization Portal in two phases - June 13, 2022 for inpatient emergencies and elective surgeries, and June 27, 2022 for home care, medical equipment, and therapies. Connecticut Medical Assistance Program (CMAP) providers must attend mandatory training sessions to learn the new prior authorization submission process.

By June 13, 2022: All Connecticut Medicaid providers must attend one of the scheduled 2-hour training sessions based on their provider type to learn how to register users and submit medical prior authorization requests through the new portal. Register for appropriate training sessions using the provided links - inpatient emergency and elective surgery providers by May 25, 2022, and home care/MEDS/therapy providers by June 9, 2022. Failure to complete training may result in inability to submit required prior authorizations.
