Summary
Effective November 1, 2022, Connecticut hospitals no longer need to submit notifications for labor and delivery admissions to the Medical ASO for HUSKY Health (Connecticut Medicaid) members. Authorization continues to be not required for delivery during inpatient admissions or observation status.
Action Required
Immediately: Connecticut hospital billing teams must stop submitting labor and delivery admission notifications to Community Health Network of Connecticut, Inc. for HUSKY Health members. Update billing workflows to remove this notification step. Continue normal billing without prior authorization for deliveries during inpatient or observation status.
