Summary
The Provider Data Management (PDM) tool in Availity Essentials has been updated with a streamlined workflow for updating provider information. The key change requires providers to delete old addresses and add new addresses within the same submission when updating office or payment locations, rather than modifying existing addresses.
Action Required
Immediately: When updating office or payment locations in Availity Essentials PDM, administrative staff must follow the new workflow: 1) Add the new address, 2) Delete the old address, and 3) Submit both changes in the same submission. Do not submit address changes in separate submissions as this will prevent the update from processing and maintain the old address on file.
