Summary
Connecticut Medicaid (CMAP) updated their provider handbook with 2023 HCPCS code changes effective January 1, 2023, and introduced new reimbursement for intermediate substance use disorder treatment at outpatient hospitals effective March 1, 2023. Immediately: Connecticut providers should verify their re-enrollment due dates and submit applications well in advance to avoid dis-enrollment. Outpatient hospitals providing substance use disorder treatment should ensure certification for intermediate SUD services effective March 1, 2023. Review updated CMAP Addendum B on www.ctdssmap.com for 2023 HCPCS changes that were reprocessed on February 8, 2023 remittance advice.
