Summary
Connecticut Medicaid now requires behavioral health providers in independent or group practice to complete a new attestation form starting April 11, 2023. Providers must attend training or review recorded materials before signing the attestation, which must be completed at enrollment and every 5 years thereafter.
Action Required
By April 11, 2023: Behavioral health providers enrolling or re-enrolling with Connecticut Medicaid must complete mandatory training (live session on April 10, 2023 at 10am or recorded version) and submit signed attestation form. Practice owners and all clinicians must sign. New enrollments after 4/11/2023 must include attestation with Follow On Documents. Currently enrolled providers will receive Gainwell notification in mid-June to complete electronic attestation via provider portal. Re-attestation required every 5 years.
