Connecticut Medicaid will begin denying home health claims without confirmed Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) data starting January 15, 2024. All home health providers must ensure EVV visits are confirmed at least 24 hours before submitting claims to avoid payment denials.
Action Required
By January 15, 2024: Home health providers must complete EVV system onboarding and ensure all visits are confirmed in the EVV system at least 24 hours before claim submission. For providers using alternate EVV solutions, coordinate with vendors to send daily files to Sandata Aggregator and allow 24-hour processing time. Claims without confirmed EVV visits will be denied for all dates of service from January 15, 2024 forward.
