Summary
Connecticut's Department of Social Services has updated the DRG Calculator with new DRG weights, average length of stays, and outlier thresholds for hospital inpatient billing. The calculator now includes updated hospital rates, IME factors, and behavioral health/rehab per diem rates effective January 1, 2024.

Immediately: Hospital billing teams in Connecticut must download the updated DRG Calculator from the Connecticut Medical Assistance Program (CMAP) website Hospital Modernization page. Review updated hospital rates, Adjusted Base Rate, IME Factor, and Cost-to-Charge ratios under the Provider Table CT tab. Update billing systems with new behavioral health and rehab per diem rates for dates of service January 1, 2024 and forward.
