Summary

Effective February 1, 2024, all Board-Certified Behavioral Analysts (BCBAs) must maintain current licensure with the Connecticut Department of Public Health to remain enrolled in the Connecticut Medical Assistance Program. DSS will validate licensure directly with DPH, and providers with lapsed or inactive licenses will be dis-enrolled from CMAP, causing claim denials.

Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: All BCBAs must verify their Connecticut DPH licensure is current and active. Set up monthly monitoring to ensure licensure remains valid with DPH to avoid dis-enrollment from CMAP. Failure to maintain active licensure will result in dis-enrollment and automatic claim denials for services after the dis-enrollment date.
