Summary
Connecticut Medicaid requires all performing providers at behavioral health and enhanced care clinics to be enrolled in CMAP and associated with their clinic organization. Claims without valid performing provider NPIs will be denied starting June 1, 2024.
Action Required
Before June 1, 2024: Behavioral health and enhanced care clinic billing teams must ensure all performing providers are enrolled in Connecticut Medical Assistance Program (CMAP) using the Provider Enrollment Wizard at www.ctdssmap.com. Associate all performing providers to clinic organizations through the 'Maintain Organization Members' panel. Update claim submission processes to include valid performing provider NPIs in rendering provider fields (837P NM109 segment, Loop 2420, Qualifier 82). Claims without valid performing provider NPIs will be denied with EOB codes 0231, 1007, 1008, 1010, or 1011.
