Summary
Connecticut is transitioning from a mandatory state EVV system to an open vendor model for Medicaid Personal Care Services, allowing providers to choose between the existing Sandata system or their own third-party EVV solution. The change is targeted for May 2024 implementation and affects all PCS providers in Connecticut.
Action Required
By May 2024: Connecticut Personal Care Services providers must decide whether to continue using Sandata Agency Management or transition to an alternate EVV system. If choosing an alternate system, ensure your EVV vendor attends the three required Town Hall sessions starting March 22, 2024, complete vendor testing and certification with Sandata, and complete Sandata's self-paced online training for the Aggregator Portal. Submit EVV questions to ctevv@gainwelltechnologies.com.
