Summary

Connecticut is transitioning from a state-mandated Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system to an Open Vendor EVV model for Personal Care Services, allowing providers to choose between the existing Sandata system or their own third-party EVV solution. The change is optional for providers, with implementation targeted for May 2024.

Action Required

Action needed
By May 2024: Connecticut Home Care, Personal Care Assistant, Acquired Brain Injury, Autism and Mental Health Waiver Service providers must decide whether to continue with Sandata Agency Management or transition to an alternate EVV system. If choosing an alternate system, providers must ensure their vendor meets technical specifications, completes testing and certification with Sandata, and complete required online training for the Aggregator Portal. Providers should attend Town Hall sessions on March 22, April 8, or April 30 if considering alternate EVV solutions.
