Summary
Effective June 1, 2024, all behavioral health clinic providers must enroll in Connecticut Medical Assistance Program (CMAP) and be properly associated with their clinic organization. Claims submitted after this date without valid performing provider NPIs will be automatically denied.
Action Required
Immediately (deadline already passed): All behavioral health clinic providers must enroll in Connecticut Medical Assistance Program (CMAP) at www.ctdssmap.com using the Provider Enrollment Wizard. Choose 'Individual practitioner' or 'Employed/Contracted by an organization' and complete the 'Members of Organization Panel' to associate with the clinic. Organization administrators must use 'Maintain Organization Members' panel to review and properly associate all providers. Claims must include valid performing provider NPIs in 837P format (NPI Segment ID = NM109, Loop ID = 2420, Qualifier = 82). For unlicensed individuals, enter supervising provider as rendering provider. Claims without proper NPI association will deny with EOB codes 0231, 1007, 1008, 1010, or 1011.
