Summary
Effective June 1, 2024, Connecticut Medicaid (HUSKY) enrolled genetic testing laboratory providers can now submit prior authorization requests for genetic testing through the medical authorization portal instead of traditional methods. Providers need to complete a two-step registration process and are encouraged to attend training on May 15, 2024.

Before June 1, 2024: Genetic testing laboratory providers must complete portal registration by submitting Medical Authorization Portal Access Request Form to CHNCT via email or fax, then register online. Attend training on May 15, 2024 at 2:00pm or review recorded training afterward. Update workflow to submit genetic testing prior authorizations through the medical authorization portal instead of previous methods.
