Connecticut Medicaid will begin denying home health claims that lack proper Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) data starting July 1, 2024. Claims that previously posted and paid with EVV-related error codes will now be denied, requiring all home health providers to ensure proper visit verification before claim submission.

Action needed
By July 1, 2024: Home health billing teams must ensure all claims have confirmed EVV visit data before submission. Allow 24 hours for Sandata Agency Management visits or 24-48 hours for Alternate EVV visits to load into MMIS before billing. By September 4, 2024: Transition from Sandata Mobile to Sandata Mobile Connect application. Claims without proper EVV verification will be denied starting July 1st.
