Action Required
By June 1, 2024: Hospital billing teams in Connecticut must update their authorization workflow to use the medical authorization portal for retrospective emergency inpatient admissions with retro eligibility. Select 'Retrospective Inpatient-Retro Eligibility Use Only' from the Auth Priority dropdown when submitting these requests. Ensure all retrospective authorization requests are submitted within 90 days of retroactive eligibility being granted. Register for portal access if not already done using the CHNCT Access Request Form.
