Summary
Connecticut Medicaid has fixed a system error that was incorrectly denying home health claims for complex care skilled nursing services with TG modifiers (EOB 3332). Claims with dates of service before May 24, 2024 will be automatically reprocessed, while claims from May 24, 2024 forward may still experience temporary denials until final resolution is implemented.
Action Required
Immediately: Home health billing teams should NOT resubmit any claims with dates of service prior to May 24, 2024 that received EOB 3332 denials - these will be automatically reprocessed and appear on May 29, 2024 Remittance Advice with ICN beginning with '52'. Monitor claims with dates of service May 24, 2024 and forward for continued unit cutbacks until final system resolution is implemented.
