Summary
Connecticut Medicaid (CMAP) has updated Addendum B with 2024 HCPCS code changes, added 41 new ICD-10 surgical codes, discontinued 6 codes, and implemented a new DRG grouper system effective April 1, 2024. Payment rates for status indicator G and K codes were also updated.
Action Required
Immediately: Download updated CMAP Addendum B V25.1 from www.ctdssmap.com Hospital Modernization page. Billing team must review payment rate changes for procedure codes with status indicators G or K. Update billing systems to recognize 41 new ICD-10 surgical codes and remove 6 discontinued codes. Review DRG Calculator for updated weights, average length of stays, and outlier thresholds effective January 1, 2024. Note that new ICD-10 codes will not be recognized until new diagnosis grouper is fully installed.
