Summary
Starting August 1, 2024, Connecticut Medicaid providers can now submit prior authorization requests for chronic disease hospital and acute rehabilitation facility inpatient admissions through the medical authorization portal instead of other methods. Providers must register for portal access and are encouraged to attend training on July 25, 2024.
Action Required
By July 25, 2024: Providers who request authorization for chronic disease hospital or acute rehab facility admissions should attend the live training at 11:00am (register at provided Zoom link). Before August 1, 2024: Complete Medical Authorization Portal Access Request Form and submit to CHNCT via email or fax, then register online for portal access. Update workflow to use the medical authorization portal for all CDH and acute rehab PA requests starting August 1st.
