Summary
Connecticut Medicaid (CMAP) is updating procedure codes and payment rates for October 1, 2024, including 371 new ICD-10 surgical codes and 252 new diagnosis codes. Additionally, behavioral health service rates for children 20 and under have increased effective July 1, 2024.
Action Required
By October 1, 2024: Billing team must update systems with new ICD-10 codes (371 surgical codes added, 61 discontinued; 252 diagnosis codes added, 36 discontinued). Monitor for updated CMAP Addendum B PDF and Excel files on ctdssmap.com Hospital Modernization page. Review behavioral health claims for children 20 and under as rates increased retroactive to July 1, 2024 - these will be automatically reprocessed by Gainwell Technologies.
