Connecticut Medicaid providers must ensure correct HCPCS codes match the 11-digit NDC numbers when billing influenza vaccines for 2024-2025 season. Claims with mismatched NDC and vaccine codes will be denied. Free vaccines from Connecticut Vaccine Program cannot be billed for reimbursement.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must cross-reference all flu vaccine NDC numbers with correct 2024-2025 HCPCS codes using provided resources before submitting claims. Use Outer Carton NDC when billing. Do not bill for vaccines obtained free through Connecticut Vaccine Program, but may bill separate administration fees. Verify NDC-to-HCPCS mapping to prevent claim denials.
