Summary
Connecticut Medicaid is changing the credentialing process for Autism Waiver service providers effective October 1, 2024. GT Independence becomes the new fiscal intermediary handling credentialing for agency providers, while solo practitioners continue using Carelon directly.
Action Required
By October 1, 2024: Connecticut Autism Waiver agency providers must switch credentialing processes to GT Independence. New providers email providercredentialing@gtsd.org for applications. After GT Independence approval, providers must enroll/re-enroll with Gainwell Technologies via www.ctdssmap.com and submit approval letter to providerenrollment@gainwelltechnologies.com with Application Tracking Number (ATN). Solo practitioners continue contacting Carelon at 1-877-552-8247 or ctbhp@carelon.com. Failure to complete new process will prevent Medicaid enrollment/re-enrollment.
